Lubia Estevez and Forest Whitlock, both women in their 60s, died Monday night when they were traveling during an intense storm and their car ended up in a ditch before being washed away. Their families are now sharing the kind of people they were.

New Jersey remains under a state of emergency Tuesday after flash flooding devastated many communities Monday night, especially in Union and Somerset counties. Gov. Phil Murphy toured some of the damage Tuesday morning in Berkeley Heights.

The Central Jersey communities most impacted by July 14’s flash floods are rallying to support victims of the devastation.

Severe storms brought flooding to New Jersey and Pennsylvania, resulting in two deaths, a house fire, and over 100 flight cancelations at Newark Airport.

Two people were killed when flash floods struck New Jersey, submerging cars, flooding roadways and canceling flights.

Atlantic, Hill Country, Texas, central Florida, southern Arizona, and the Upper Midwest are at risk for more flooding rainfall on Tuesday.

As of the morning of July 15, parts of Middlesex and Somerset counties were still under a flood warning, with the National Weather Service advising residents of continued flooding as numerous roads remained closed.
