Despite the drop in trade-in value, Google is still the only place to get a half-decent price for your old Pixel phone. You will get under $300 on the secondary market for the Pixel 7 Pro, while Apple and Samsung rarely pay handsomely for a Google handset. Still, it’s disappointing the Search company has dropped its trade-in prices for this sale.

OnePlus has always felt like a plucky little upstart against behemoths like Samsung and Google. With a 6.8-inch screen and flagship specs on the OnePlus 13, there’s no better yardstick to measure it against than Google’s Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The Google Store has made an interesting change that shows the price of Pixel 9 phones if the buyer trades-in a device.

Alternatively, Sky Mobile is offering the Google Pixel 9 with no up front cost for £22 per month, with select data plans now half price for six months. These start at £5 for 3GB, which would work out more expensive than through Mobiles.co.uk, but may be a better option for those who prefer to avoid paying anything up front.
