Arsenal transfer target Viktor Gyokeres has a €60 million (£51.4m) clause in his contract with Sporting CP which has become active from July 1. Both Arsenal and Manchester United have held extensive talks to sign Gyokeres this summer but have not reached an agreement over a transfer fee with Sporting.

Sporting could soon have more reason to remain stubborn as they hold out for as close to Viktor Gyokeres' £85million release as possible this summer. The Portuguese champions are reportedly poised to pocket £47m for Ousmane Diomande after accepting a bid from Crystal Palace.
