Christmas is both early and late this year. Larian Studios revealed 12 new subclasses coming to Baldur's Gate 3, Patch 8.

That's a lot for a patch for a narratively-driven RPG, but that's becoming Larian's M.O. Patch 7 introduced mod support on consoles and thirteen new endings, so it's natural for the developers to keep expanding the game.

So far, I’ve been able to hold myself back from diving headfirst into Baldur’s Gate 3 again by reminding myself that I have too many other games to finish. I can’t justify spending over 100 hours on something I’ve already finished that also launched last year.

Characters can learn spells from scrolls in Baldur's Gate 3. Use this to round out your spellbook with any you may have missed.

Patch 8 for Baldur's Gate 3 includes cross-play, photo mode, and 12 new sub-classes to enhance gameplay. Stress testing aims to prevent post-patch hotfixes, with cross-play being the final feature added due to technical complexities.

In its next and last major update to the game, Larian Studios will bring cross-play, 12 new subclasses and a photo mode to 'Baldur's Gate III' next year.
