Mumbai Police arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national accused of stabbing actor Saif Ali Khan during a suspected burglary attempt. Shehzad was tracked down using CCTV footage and a Google Pay transaction he made for breakfast.

Mumbai Police have arrested Bangladeshi national Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, also known as Vijay Das, for allegedly stabbing actor Saif Ali Khan in Bandra. An extensive review of CCTV footage and subsequent investigation led to his capture in Thane.

On the run for over two days, Mohammad Shariful, a suspect in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case, was picked up from deep inside the mangrove forests in Thane in the wee hours of Sunday, said sources.
