Indian Premier League (IPL) legend Shikhar Dhawan hit his maiden Nepal Premier League (NPL) half-century on Wednesday (December 4, 2024) as Karnali Yaks dragged themselves to a total of 149/5 in 20 overs against Kathmandu Gurkhas in Kirtipur.

Shikhar Dhawan did not have a great start to the Nepal Premier League as he was dismissed for just 14 runs in the first match. The veteran cricketer though bounced back in style and slammed a brutal half-century.

Shikhar Dhawan was in explosive form in the Nepal Premier League, blasting an unbeaten 72 off just 51 balls for Karnali Yaks. His remarkable innings stunned the crowd as he took apart the opposition’s bowlers with an array of powerful shots and stylish boundaries.

Kathmandu Gurkhas won the toss and decided to bowl first against Karnali Yaks in the sixth match of the inaugural Nepal Premier League taking place in Kirtipur.

Shikhar Dhawan struggled in his Nepal Premier League debut, scoring only 14 runs for Karnali Yaks in their opening match against Janakpur Bolts.
