A judge in New York City Mayor Eric Adams' corruption case has appointed an outside attorney to argue over the Department of Justice's request to drop the federal charges.

A federal judge has adjourned the corruption trial for New York City Mayor Eric Adams and appointed counsel to advise him on how to handle the Justice Department's request to drop charges against the Democrat.

A judge has indefinitely delayed Mayor Eric Adams' trial, but did not dismiss the charges against him. As CBS News New York's Dick Brennan reports, the mayor talked about his case in a one-on-one interview with our Marcia Kramer.
