Roberto Orci, the writer and producer behind franchises like Star Trek, Hawaii Five-0 and Transformers, has died. He was 51. Orci died Tuesday in his home in Los Angeles following a battle with kidney disease, his manager told The Hollywood Reporter.

His resume also includes co-writing “Mission Impossible III” and “The Legend Of Zorro” and producing the “Now You See Me” franchise.

Writer and producer Roberto Orci, who worked on Transformers and the Star Trek reboot, died aged 51 on Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles as his cause of death has been revealed
