Texas' five-game advantage over the second-place Razorbacks has shrunk to just two with six games remaining on the regular-season schedule for both teams. Arkansas finalized the series sweep with a thumping 13-8 victory in which it made some of the Longhorns' best arms look pedestrian, slugging five home runs.

Such was the case over the weekend as No. 1 Texas strolled into Baum-Walker Stadium feeling good about itself. The Longhorns were on a 10-game win streak which included a sweep of Texas A&M the weekend before. Texas was leading the SEC with a 19-2 mark, 5 games ahead of the Razorbacks in the conference standings.
