Travis Head says he was surprised to read comments from Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar who suggested Josh Hazlewood’s side strain injury was “strange”, a “mystery” and that there was more to the story.

Sunil Gavaskar was lambasted by former Australia cricketers for spreading “garbage” and “rubbish” about Josh Hazlewood before India vs Australia 2nd Test.

Indian cricket great Sunil Gavaskar believes there is something "strange" about Josh Hazlewood pulling out of the second Test with a side strain. Hazlewood was one of the few bright lights in an Australian side that promised a lot but delivered very little in the first Test defeat to India in Perth.

Hazlewood, who was Australia's most successful bowler in Perth, has been sidelined from the day-night Adelaide Test due to an injury. Scott Boland will replace Hazlewood for the Test.
