Spurs center Victor Wembanyama is launching three-pointer after three-pointer, but that could very well be by design.

Victor Wembanyama is only in the second year of his NBA career, and he's continued stand out from the rest of the league in many ways. Of course, his 7'4" height is one of those things, but Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick pointed out another part of the San Antonio Spurs star's game that makes him different against the rest.

After 8-of-16 3-point shooting was instrumental in the first 50-point game of the 20-year-old’s young career in a win over the Washington Wizards on Nov. 13, fellow long-range bomber Julian Champagnie, 38 of 111 on 3s this season, endorsed Wembanyama’s emulation of Steph Curry.

The NBA has some excellent centers littered around its cities, and Victor Wembanyama is rapidly ascending its hierarchy. This crop of pivots is not as powerful as those of the 1980s and 1990s, but it’s still a noteworthy group because of the versatility of many.

Earlier today, L.A. Lakers head coach JJ Redick spoke to reporters on Wednesday ahead of the team's matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. Redick spoke highly specifically of one player - Victor Wembanyama.
