Opening remarks by Assistant U.S. Attorney Keith Alexander kicked off an extraordinary trial for a public official. Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan is charged with obstruction and concealment for her actions this spring during President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown.

The trial of Judge Hannah Dugan began over charges for aiding an illegal immigrant evade arrest by federal immigration officers.

Prosecutors played audio recordings Monday as they tried to show jurors that a Wisconsin judge knew what was at stake earlier this year when she directed an immigrant to a private door while federal agents were in the courthouse to arrest the man.

All eyes are on the Milwaukee federal courthouse where Judge Hannah Dugan will face trial in an immigration obstruction case.
