Lake-effect snow could accumulate over a foot for some along the lakeshore by Tuesday evening. Travel could be treacherous as salt becomes ineffective with the cold.

While we aren’t expected to shatter any records with regard to cold temperatures in the coming few days, the coldest arctic airmass to impact the Buffalo-Niagara region in years is here and will tighten its grip through midweek.
