PCB agrees to hybrid model for Champions Trophy 2025, ICC too accepts Pakistan's big demand for T20 World Cup 2026.

The ICC has approved a hybrid model for the 2025 Champions Trophy, with matches hosted in Pakistan and Dubai. India’s league-stage matches, including the India-Pakistan clash, will be held in Dubai, while Pakistan will not travel to India for the 2026 T20 World Cup,

The semifinal and final of the tournament are also scheduled to take place in Dubai. If at all India gets eliminated, then the semifinal and final will take place in Lahore and Rawalpindi in Pakistan.

The eight-team ODI tournament is set to commence on February 19, with the final slated for March 9. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will serve as the host for the Champions Trophy 2025.

The PCB has agreed with the CT 2025 terms, with the condition that the Pakistan Cricket Team will not travel to India for the league-stage clash against India, and they will be held in Colombo.

A similar hybrid model was adopted during the men's 50-over Asia Cup last year, when Pakistan hosted the tournament.

The decision to host Champions Trophy 2025 in hybrid model came on Friday (Dec 13) evening through prominent sources as the tournament is finally set to get a green light. On the other hand, the deal also means Pakistan will not travel to India for the 2026 T20 World Cup.

According to a report by Sports Tak, the Champions Trophy 2025 will be held in the hybrid model, where India will play their matches in Dubai, while the rest of the tournament will be held in Pakistan.
