President Donald Trump said "tremendous bad blood" between Zelenskyy and Putin is delaying a peace deal from happening with the war in Ukraine.

The Kremlin said on Monday that Budapest was chosen as the venue for a summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump because Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has warm ties with Trump and constructive ties with Putin.

A Russian investment envoy proposed that Elon Musk and The Boring Company build a "Putin-Trump" tunnel connecting Alaska and Russia through the Bering Strait. The suggestion came amid talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump about possible resolutions to Russia's war in Ukraine.

European governments have rallied behind Volodymyr Zelenskyy and are rushing to secure a deal on the use of Russia’s frozen assets after the Ukrainian leader was pressured by Donald Trump to accept Vladimir Putin’s demands to end the war.

Trump wants Russia and Ukraine to freeze the war on the current battlelines, with Moscow holding a huge swathe of eastern Ukraine. Zelenskyy seems unwilling.

The president said he wants both sides to stop where they are. Zelensky signaled openness to such a ceasefire as a starting point to talks.
