Fox Corp. hired Pete Distad, formerly head of Venu Sports, as CEO of the company's direct-to-consumer streaming division.

Fox has tapped Peter Distad as CEO of its recently announced direct-to-consumer streaming platform. Distad, who served as an executive at Apple for a decade following six years at Hulu, transitions to Fox from his most recent role as CEO of recently defunct joint venture Venu Sports.

Fox Corp on Thursday named former Apple TV+ executive Pete Distad as the CEO of its upcoming subscription streaming platform, which will take on the likes of Netflix and Disney+. The Murdoch family-controlled company plans to launch the yet-to-be-named subscription-based streaming service by the end of 2025 to attract an audience outside its mainstay cable television business.
