The winner will receive a trophy from conference commissioner Brett Yormark and a berth into the College Football Playoff from its selection committee.

Iowa State finished the regular season with its first 10-win season in school history and a record of 10-2. The Cyclones ended at 7-2 in Big 12 Conference play.
