A 19-year-old woman from Assam was seen smiling as she entered the lobby of a service apartment in Bengaluru with her boyfriend On Saturday. Three days later, police recovered her body from the same apartment.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a 19-year-old woman in Bengaluru's Indira Nagar. The suspect, from Kerala, allegedly stabbed the victim, Maya Gogoi from Assam. The crime was discovered after a foul smell led police to the scene.

The murder is reported to have taken place on Sunday midnight in the service apartment where Maya and Aarav had checked in.

A 22-year-old vlogger and company employee, Maya Gogoi, was found murdered in an Indiranagar hotel room. Police suspect her friend, Arnav Harnoy, stabbed her on Monday and fled Tuesday morning. CCTV footage captured Harnoy leaving the hotel and boarding a cab.

Preliminary investigations suggest premeditation. “Hanoy brought a knife in his bag and he also ordered a rope to hotel through Zepto,” told Bengaluru Police.

The police found the decomposed body of the woman in the service apartment that she booked with her boyfriend on 23 November.
