Showers and storms are set to roll in before a cold front pushes through Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida area on Wednesday.

For starters, a strong cold front is expected to move across the area, according to NWS Melbourne. The front could bring gusty showers and a strong storm or two. Temperatures will be in the high-70s, low-80s across Central Florida. Gusty winds between 20-30 mph are also in the forecast, according to NWS Melbourne.

Central Florida will see an active weather day on Wednesday. Our area will see high rain and storm chances and falling temperatures as a strong cold front moves through our area. A few light showers will be possible in the morning, but the better chance for rain and storms will be in the late morning through mid-afternoon.

On Friday, a cold front is moving southward across Central Florida. Cloud cover will keep temperatures in the 60s near Interstate 4, according to NWS Melbourne. Further south, there will be sunshine and temperatures in the 70s. Light showers from Melbourne to Kissimmee are possible, according to NWS Melbourne.
