Trump's new White House ballroom is rumored to cost upwards of $200 million, sparking a variety of rumors about the project throughout 2025.

Photos and reports from the Associated Press, released Oct. 23, showcased excavators tearing through the White House's East Wing. The demolition is making way for President Donald Trump’s 90,000 square feet State Ballroom.

The East Wing was built at a time when the fibrous minerals were widely used in construction because of their fire-retardant qualities.

Users claimed the high court agreed to hear the case after a historic preservation organization filed a massive lawsuit against the president.
