The Philadelphia 76ers returned home on Sunday to play host to the Utah Jazz looking to get back in the win column. The Sixers entered the night on a 3-game losing skid and were looking to take advantage of a Jazz team that has struggled all season long.

In a game where both teams would’ve preferred to improve their lottery odds, the Sixers simply had more NBA talent on the floor than the lowly Jazz.

The 76ers will tell you that their moves at the NBA trade deadline and beyond were about getting younger and more athletic. But they also were about getting up-close looks at potential role players for the future.

Coach Nick Nurse gives a lot of praise to Quentin Grimes as the Philadelphia 76ers move forward with their season.

Quentin Grimes has been a revelation since joining the Sixers at the trade deadline, but his ascension does present the front office with a few good problems.

• Another old friend who recently landed with the Jazz, former Sixers first-round pick Jaden Springer, was ruled out for this contest due to a back injury. Springer, who is still in his age-22 season, inked a 10-day contract with Utah last month, and only a few weeks later inked a three-year standard NBA contract.
