Slovenia on Friday imposed a ban on all weapons trading with Israel becoming the first European country to do so over the growing humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian enclave in Israel's ongoing war.

Slovenia has become the first country in the European Union to ban all weapons trade with Israel over its war on Gaza. The announcement comes two weeks after the Central European nation declared Israeli ministers persona non grata, the state news agency STA reported.

The announcement comes as international pressure mounts on Israel over the war in Gaza and the deepening humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian enclave.
