For his own part, Antetokounmpo, a two-time MVP, claimed that he was unaware of the offseason ESPN report when asked by The Post after the Bucks beat the Knicks 121-111 in Milwaukee on Oct. 28. After being told of the report, Antetokounmpo did not deny it; rather, he deflected.
The Knicks have little to offer that can match up with the sort of packages that other teams could put together.
Wednesday did not bring news that we're in an active trade-request situation with Giannis Antetokounmpo, but it got awfully close.
But according to "The Ringer" founder Bill Simmons, the San Antonio Spurs are the wild card in the Antetokounmpo bidding war. "That's like a brain-breaker trade. Just putting Wemby and Giannis on the same team is like," said Simmons, who seemed at a loss for words just thinking about that possibility.
