`No Kings Day’ Rallies Planned Across Los Angeles and Orange County Counties
Thousands of people are expected to rally downtown Saturday as part of a nationwide “No Kings Day” demonstrations against the Trump administration, which will be among dozens of events scheduled across Los Angeles and Orange counties.
People in and around recent burn scars should be alert to the risk of debris flows. Typical October weather will be back later this week.
Data from the National Weather Service show several portions of Southern California received at least 1.5 inches of rain.
In Orange and San Bernardino counties, a flash flood watch will continue through Tuesday afternoon for the Bridge, Line, Apple, El Dorado and Airport burn scars. Hillsides stripped of vegetation by wildfires can make soil repel water, which can lead to increased runoff and flooding.
