Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Santi Aldama's helped Memphis keeping its good streak alive. The Grizzlies defeated the Pelicans 120-109. The Grizzlies (13-7) have won five consecutive games. Each of the last four have been by double figures. Morant led the Grizzlies with 27 points.

In their final game of NBA Cup group play, the Pelicans played a competitive game against the Memphis Grizzlies. They stayed within striking distance until late in the fourth quarter. But the end result — a 120-109 loss to Memphis at FedEx Forum — was the same as the previous six games the Pelicans have played.

The Memphis Grizzlies are officially the hottest team in the Western Conference and take on the coldest team in the conference today, the New Orleans Pelicans.
