Lowcountry Rep. Nancy Mace is aiming high, officially throwing her hat in the ring for the South Carolina gubernatorial race to succeed term-limited incumbent Gov. Henry McMaster.

The congresswoman joins a crowded field to succeed GOP Gov. Henry McMaster, who cannot run again due to term limits.

Congresswoman Nancy Mace has announced her campaign for South Carolina Governor, according to a video posted to her website. The video was posted the evening before the congresswoman was scheduled to make an announcement on Monday morning in Charleston.
