Russian and Indian leaders reaffirm ‘strategic partnership’ and highlight joint work on nuclear power and critical materials

Trade and people-to-people ties figured high in PM Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s talks. After the 23rd annual India-Russia summit, the two leaders announced that they had agreed on an Economic Cooperation Agreement until 2030.

The quip came while Putin was speaking about the steady flow of Russian crude to India despite global political disruptions and sanctions pressure.
