San Diego FC sign defender Franco Negri
San Diego FC have signed defender Franco Negri, the incoming MLS expansion club announced Tuesday. The 29-year-old Argentine left back is under contract through 2025 with an option for 2026. Last month, San Diego picked Negri in Stage 2 of the 2024 Re-Entry Draft.

San Diego FC and Club America announce friendlies in 2025, 2027
San Diego FC and Club América have announced a partnership that will include friendlies in 2025 and 2027. The first friendly between the two sides will be on June 21 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. The partnership will also see the MLS expansion side and three-time defending Liga MX champion collaborate on community and marketing initiatives.
