The embattled Kogi Central lawmaker made the claims on Tuesday when she received a rousing welcome from her supporters.

This comes months after the former Chief Justice, Theresa Chikeka, was removed by the National Judicial Council (NJC) following an indictment for age falsification.

Tensions have soared in the state since about 200 people were killed at Christmas 2023 during a bloody attack on a majority Christian village.

In a ruling, Justice Nyako said there shall be no press interviews by all parties and their lawyers as regards the subject matter of the case.
