Michigan State survived a scare in its first road game of the season as Divine Ugochukwu scored 23 points in his first start.

Penn State freshman guard Kayden Mingo played an exceptional game against the Spartans, finishing with 11 points and career-highs in assists (eight) and rebounds (seven).
