Tonsillectomy-Adenoid Removal at 8 years old is toughre but I hope these fewtakeaways can help if your child has been recommended for this procedure- Recovery was tough at this age.- I wish we had done it sooner.- Plan the surgery during a school break to minimize missed school days.- Take at least 7 days off work (more if needed).- Prepare popsicle molds with hydration drinks.- Create a spreadsheet to track medication (you want to make sure you give it to them before the pain starts to kick in)
