There is also a freshwater creek that runs down the beach, Neskowin Creek. It was cold, but a lot of families and dogs were enjoying swimming and playing in it. The ghost forest was unearthed back in the winter of 1997/1998 after a series of bad storms uncovered it. The tree stumps are estimated to be over 2,000 years
