After diving to just 200ft to release her mines, she was hit by intense flak from both the Tirpitz and nearby shore batteries. Pilot Don MacIntyre made a skilful wheels-up landing on the frozen surface of Lake Hoklingen in central Norway. All six crew escaped - only Sgt Stevens was injured, breaking his ankle in th
