It was almost a week’s worth of rain that swelled rivers, overwhelmed bridges, and forced many to run from their homes. And while those waters are now receding, they’ve left a ton of damage both infrastructural and emotional in their wake. Flood aftermath… President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is in the Ohangwena region to assess the conditions at temporary relocation centres that are sheltering flood affected victims, where over 202 households (1 075 people) are affected by the floods. She is currently at Oshikango Warehouse to evaluate the distribution efforts of essentials for the flood affected victims in the region.
