Medlar thief! Medlars are uncommon fruits related to apples and pears that bear their fruit now, in November. You don't want to eat them now, however. They need to be "bletted" first. Meaning, you put them in a cool, dark place for a few weeks to get mushy and sweet. But, if you're one of our resident nursery squirrels, you don't really care about that!
