As part of their study in science on the properties of matter (solids, liquids, and gases), our 2nd graders discovered just how important oxygen is for a flame to burn. 🔥 To put their learning into action, they mixed baking soda (a solid) and vinegar (a liquid) to create carbon dioxide gas.
