Back in late 2019, Quentin Tarantino was on The Rewatchables podcast with Bill Simmons to talk about the best films of the 2010s. While making his personal “Top 10 of the Decade” list, he rewatched Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk a few times and the film shot up his rankings. By his third viewing, Tarantino said Dunkirk moved from number seven to number two. He admitted that the first time he saw it, the huge IMAX visuals and sound were so overwhelming that they almost numbed the actual experience.
