CLONED FOAL GIVES NEW HOPE FOR ENDANGERED BREED The world's first successfully cloned Przewalski’s horse is both cute and incredibly important. The foal – called Kurt – has been cloned from DNA that was cryopreserved 40 years ago and will hopefully revive genetic diversity thought to have been lost decades ago. The Przewalski is an endangered wild horse native to the steppes of central Asia. Today there are now approximately 2,000 of the breed and they are all descendants of just 12 individuals
