The Nottingham War Rooms has opened its doors for a rare series of tours, so you can get a glimpse behind the blast-proof doors of a Government nuclear bunker. The Beechdale Bunk was constructed back in the 1950s as a nerve centre in case of a nuclear attack, but now there are plans for the Grade-II listed site to become a community facility.
